For those of you that have faithfully used our site since 1997, we want to thank you for your support. It has been a great run and we are pleased that we could help you implement technology in your classroom. Now, we want to help you take that a step further.

The Constructive Classroom was created using a course management system (CMS) called Moodle. Course Management software packages, and Moodle specifically, are designed to help educators and trainers create quality online instructional modules. These e-learning systems are sometimes also called Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Virtual Learning Environments (VLE). However, one of the main advantages of using Moodle over other systems is its strong grounding in social constructionist pedagogy.

Moodle was originally designed by Martin Dougiamas and is distributed under the GNU General Public License. It is now an Open Source project with many developers world-wide.

For a limited time The Constructive Classroom will allow teachers to register and use this site FREE of charge. Once you create your account, email us at info@socialstudies4u.com for specific instructions on how to start your online class.
